For business that means Morristown Municipal Airport (KMMU/MMU) for the corporate belt and the northern end of the life sciences corridor, or Trenton Mercer Airport (KTTN/TTN) for Princeton, New Brunswick and Mercer County. For the Shore it means Monmouth Executive Airport (KBLM/BLM) or Cape May County Airport (KWWD/WWD). For Atlantic City and the south it means Atlantic City International Airport (KACY/ACY).
If your flight arrives from outside the United States it has to clear customs, and in New Jersey that means Morristown, Trenton Mercer or Atlantic City International. Essex County Airport (KCDW/CDW), Monmouth Executive, Cape May County and Princeton Airport (39N) have no customs facility, so an international arrival cannot clear at any of them. Arriving for Business
The corridor along I-287 and Route 1 is the reason most corporate charter comes here, with Johnson and Johnson headquartered in New Brunswick, Merck in Rahway and Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton. Those trips run on a weekday rhythm and the early departures fill first, so a date and a rough time are worth giving us as early as you have them. Manhattan is also within reach of the northern fields, and for a meeting on the west side of the city the drive from New Jersey is often the shorter half of the trip.
Arriving for the Shore or Atlantic City
The Shore season runs roughly June through August into Monmouth Executive and Cape May County, for Spring Lake, Sea Girt, Avalon, Stone Harbor and Asbury Park. Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day weekends are the tightest in the year for both aircraft and ramp space. Atlantic City is event-driven: Boardwalk Hall and the casino resorts set the calendar, and Atlantic City International is the gateway.
